Aloha Friday

It's Friday again Yea! So it's time for Aloha Friday. Brought to us by An Island Life.

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and head on over to An Island Life to post your link. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

Today's Question: What do you like to do on rainy days?

Today's Answer: It has been raining a lot here this week and of course I have had to work but I would love to be at home snuggling in my bed with Landon.

Thursday's Randomness

I finally got things sorted out with school so I can start in August. Yeah! I will only be taking one class this semester though because I am going to have to pay out of pocket. My financial aid won't start until January. But that is ok because I only have one class left that is a pre req before I can apply for the nursing program. I am going to have to take Anatomy and Physiology I this semester and it is on Saturday which would be ok for me but its Football Season. That means I am going to miss most of the games this year. I am so sad. But I want to get started with school more than anything right now.

Now on a different note I have to tell you about the greatest product ever!!! You have probably all heard and seen it before but if you have never tried it you must. It works wonders. It's the Tide to Go Pen!

I have these white pants from Banana Republic, that I love. It never fails when I wear them they are going to get something on them. I have gotten pen marks, baby food, and salsa on them so far and every time Tide to Go has came to my rescue. You couldn't even tell I had gotten anything on them after using it. I carry one in my purse all the time.

Now I am going to leave you with this video of Landon. He loves to drink from Mommy and Daddy's bottle of water and we use the Crystal Light Fruit punch packets and he loves it. This is a video of me letting him drink some. Watch the face he makes after the first drink or two it's hilarious.

Also don't forget to enter my giveaway for a $20 gift certificate for Bitsy Creations. Today is the last day.

The Relaxing is Over...Until Next Weekend.

This weekend was very nice and relaxing. It's was the first relaxing weekend I have had in a month or two. We are always on the go but this weekend we stayed pretty much around home and it was nice.

Friday night we ate dinner with my sister and niece because they left Saturday morning going to Ohio for a mission trip. Please keep them in your prayers.

On Saturday we hung around home for a while. Then we went to get groceries and Landon and Me went to the mall with my friend Andrea. It was nice to go shopping and get to spend sometime with a friend. Then we came back home and picked up Dustin and went and bought some flowers to plant in our front yard. I have to say that look pretty nice.

Yesterday we went to Dustin's mom's for lunch and to swim.

Then today was Landon's very first day of daycare. I was very sad to leave him but I know he will have a great time.

Ok I have a few questions for you guys. First of all:

Do any of you know any where I can get waterproof labels. I need some to label Landon's things for daycare. I really shouldn't have waited this long but what can I say I am a procrastinator.

Secondly, I have really been debating rather or not to dye my hair blonde. I died it all throughout high school but then I let it grow out. What do you think?

I am looking for a new highchair and car seat for Landon. Any suggestions. Right now we have a booster seat high chair for him and it is getting a little small and our chair is getting very stained. And he is about to out grow his infant seat so I am looking to get a convertible car seat. What do you have have?

Also don't forget to enter my giveaway it ends on Thursday.

Look Who Is 10 Months Old

Wow. Where has the time gone? I can not hardly believe that tomorrow my baby will be 10 months old. In just two months he will be celebrating his first birthday. We already have started planning it. We have the location reserved (We are having it at a local park/splash pad). But now I must find the cake.

What are you up to Landon?
  • I love to crawl everywhere.

  • I don't like to be held anymore. (which really makes my mom sad)

  • I pull up on everything I can (cabinets, coffee table, peoples legs, the oven, the bath tub)

  • I have four teeth. Two on bottom and two on top.

  • I would much rather play with boxes, lids, bowls and things like that instead of toys.

  • I way around 18 1/2 pounds.

  • I wear a size 3 diaper.

  • I eat like crazy. I love spaghetti baby food.

  • I want to eat off of everyone's plate.

1 can whole kernel corn, drained

1 can diced tomatoes 1 can Rotel tomatoes

1 pkg. taco seasoning mix -(opt.)

2 1/2 cups water or more,

To make soup broth Brown ground beef and onions in a large pan, drain off fat. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for an hour or so. When ready, serve in big soup bowls and serve with taco fixings such as: cheese, sour cream, and scoops.

The Lake

Last Saturday I went to one of my all time favorite places, The Lake. I love going to the lake it is so relaxing. I went with an old friend of mine. Her mom and dad has a boat so we went out on it. We rode on it for a while and then docked the boat to eat at a little place called the Hitchin Post. It was so good. They had a buffet that was home cooked food (fried chicken, Salisbury steak, mashed potato's, fried okra and other stuff like that) It was delicious. Then we got back on the boat and rode the inner tube for a while and then went to see the Big Fish. These fish are huge and you can buy crackers and a bottle and put some crackers and water in the bottle and hold it in the water and the fish swim up to it and suck it out. So cute. I want to get a boat asap. Here are some pictures of us at the lake.

I am so ready to go back. It was a blast.

Also I am going to be having a giveaway a little later today and trust me you won't want to miss it.
